Sophia’s Vintage 5th Birthday Party

I love my girls and I love when I am able to create something special for them.  My Sophia wanted a pretty birthday party, outside, with her family and friends and I was thrilled to make sure it was perfect for her.  There was so much I could do with that request and I took my ideas and ran with them.  We just moved into our new house a few months ago and our new backyard was perfect for the party.  In the afternoon it is shaded by our big oak trees and there is plenty of room for everyone.  It also helped that it was absolutely beautiful on Saturday.

I decided on a vintage, shabby chic theme.  It was easy to make it work with all of the goodies that my mom and I have collected over the years.  My mom brought over all of her vintage quilts and blankets and we set up picnic areas on the grass.  My mom and I hand made the crowns, the food, and the decorations.  I also made the cake and cupcakes myself.  Everyone had a fantastic time and the kids loved it.  Here are some pictures I would like to share from the party.
